Simeon Chambers, 1839, Reach in Swaffham Prior

This is the last will and testament of me Simeon Chambers of Reach in Swaffham Prior in the county of Cambridge yeoman I give and devise all that messuage or tenement with the ground and appurtenances which I bought of Mr Aslar situated at Reach aforesaid and also all that moiety as now staked out of the piece or parcel of ground which I bought of Edward Stanton lying next to the said messuage to my wife Mary Chambers to hold the same to her my said wife and to her heirs and assigns for ever and all the rest residue and remainder of my messuages lands tenements and hereditaments whatsoever as well freehold and copyhold I give and devise to my said wife and her assigns for the term of her natural life and from and immediately after her decease I give and devise the same unto my five brothers and sisters Elijah Chambers Thomas Chambers Frances Leeson Sarah Chambers and Mary Fuller to hold the same to them their heirs and assigns for ever as tenants in common and not as joint tenants I give and bequeath all my personal estate and effects whatsoever and wheresoever to my said wife and I appoint my said wife and Robert Mason of Reach aforesaid farmer executrix and executor of this my will In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this third day of November in the year one thousand and eight hundred and thirty eight _ Simeon Chambers X his mark _ signed sealed published and declared by the said Simeon Chambers as and for his last will and testament in our presence who in his presence at his request and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses George J.
