In
the name of God Amen I Robert Chambers of Swaffham Prior in the county of
Cambridge ffarmer being of sound mind memory and understanding but considering
the uncertainty of this transitory life do make publish and declare this to be
my last will and testament made in manner following that is to say ffirst I give
devise and bequeath unto my brother William Chambers all that my copyhold right
of common and turbary into and upon the common of Waterbeach in the said county
of Cambridge held of the mannor of Waterbeach aforesaid with the rights members
priviledge and appurtenances to the same belonging to hold the same unto my said
brother William Chambers his heirs and assigns for ever. Also I give and devise
unto my brother Isaac Chambers all those my ffour acres and half of fen land
lying and being in Swaffham Prior aforesaid and copyhold of the manor of
Swaffham Prior to hold the same with the appurtenances unto my said brother
Isaac his heirs and assigns for ever. All which lands and premises hereinbefore
mentioned I have duly surrendered to the use of any will. Alsi I give and
bequeath unto my said brother Isaac Chambers the legacy sum of thirty pounds to
be paid to my said brother Isaac his heirs executors administrators or assigns
by my executor hereafter named within three months next after my decease. All
the next residue and remainder of my real and personal estate money securities
for money goods chattels and effects whatsoever and wheresoever not herinbefore
disposed or which I may be possessed or entitled unto at the time of my decease
I give devise and bequeath unto my dear father George Chambers his heirs
executors administrator and assigns absolutely and for ever he paying htereout
my just debts the above legacy or sum of thirty pounds my ffuneral expenses and
the costs and charges of proving this my will. And lastly I do hereby nominate
consitiute and appoint my said dear father George Chambers sole executor of this
my last will and testament subject nevertheless to the payment of the legacy or
sum of ten pounds to my brother George Chambers to be paid to him three months
after my decease hereby revoking all former and other wills by me at any time
heretofore made In Witness whereof I the said Robert Chambers the testator have
to this my last will and testament contained and written on one sheet of paper
set my hand and seal this twentieth day of June in the year of our Lord One
thousand eight hundred and seven The Mark and seal X of Robert Chambers signed
sealed published and declared by the said Robert Chambers the testator as and
for his last will and testament in the presence of us who in his presence at his
request and in the presence of each other have subscribed our names as witnesses
hereunto King John Haggerston Geo. J. Whiteley Geo. Webb Proved August 26th 1809
