In
the name of God Amen I Robert Chambers of Reach in the county of Cambridge and
diocese of Ely being weake in body but of sound and perfect mind do make and and
appoint this my last will and testament in manner and form following Ffirst I
commend my soul into the hands of God my creator hoping this ? to Jesus Christ
to devise pardon for my sins and my body I commend to the earth to be buried in
a decent manner according to the custome of the parish and as to my worldly
estate and goods which it hath pleased God to bestow me with all I give and
dispose of in manner following IMPRIMIS I give and bequeath unto my son Robert
Chambers all my real estate whatsoever to have and to hold to him and his heirs
for ever the particulars whereof are as follows namely one house standing in
Reach in the parish of Swaffham Prior together with two orchards yard barns
stable outhouses and all their appertenances whatsoever tweleve acres and ? of
arable land lyeing in the open fields of the parish aforesaid one dalover parcel
of land of ffour acres and a half in the Higher Ffenn and a like parcel in the
Little Ffenn both lyeing and being in the grounds of Swaffham Prior aforesaid
which said house orchards barns stable and land abovementioned I give and
bequeath unto my said son Robert Chambers and his heirs for ever which said
Robert Chambers my son ? ? and appoint my sole executor of this my last will and
testament to pay or cause to be paid out of the estate abovementioned all my
debts ffurnerall charges and legacies hereafter mentioned ITEM I give and
bequeath unto Elizabeth Shereman my daughter the sum of twenty pounds of good
and lawfull money of Great Britain to be paid her by the said Robert Chambers my
son and executor at within the space of one year from the time of my decease and
likewise my will and mind is that the said Elizabeth Shereman my daughter shall
have and enjoy immediately upon my decease one cow which she her self shall
chose out of what stock as shall be left at my decease and also the ? chamber
bed bedstead bedclothes and hangings as it now stands ITEM I give and bequeath
unto Mary Steel my daughter the sum of three pounds of good and lawful money of
Great Britain to be paid for by my above named executor at or within the space
of one year after my decease and also my will and mind is that she the said Mary
Steel my daughter shall have and enjoy immediately upon my decease one cow which
she shall chose next after her sister All the rest of my stock debts money and
chattells whatsoever I give and bequeath unto Robert Chambers my said son and
executor In Witness whereof I have hereunto sett my hand and seal the twenty
sixth day of March in the year of our lord one thousand seventeen and thirty two
