In the name of God Amen, I Robert Chambers the heir of Swaffham Prior in the county of Cambridge, yeoman, being sick in body yet in perfect memory (God I give him thanks for it) do make this my last will and testament wise Ffirst I bequeath my soul unto almighty God my master and redeemer and my body to be buried in Saint Marye’s Church in Swaffham Prior aforesaid. ITEM: I make my wife and my son Robert my executors. ITEM: I give unto my daughter Jane and Marye each of them one hundred pounds a piece to be paid at their several ages of one and twenty years. ITEM: I give to my son Samuel and his heirs all the copiehold messuages and lands ? ? late Collins with thappurting. ITEM: I give unto my son Samuel the sum of one hundred pounds to be paid unto him at one and twenty years. ITEM: I give unto my son Robert my house that holdeth of Quene’s College called Shadforth provided always that yf Johane my wife shall refuse to joyne with my son Robert in exerntershipp or shall take benefit of the thirdes of my free lands then I will that the house holden of Quene’s College aforesaid shall wholly remain and be to my son Robert and his heirs. ITEM: I give unto the poor of Swaffham Prior and Reach five pounds to be paid within one year after my death. ITEM: I give to Richard Stallon my grandchild the sum of twenty pounds to be paid to him at the age of one and twenty years. ITEM: I give to Thomas Baker of King’s Lynne ? the sum of forty shillings. ITEM: I give to Mary Chambers the daughter of Richard Chambers five pounds to be paid one year after my death. ITEM: I give to Anne Lubsom my granddaughter five pounds to be paid unto her at the age of one and twenty years. ITEM: I make my loving friend Mr Thomas Baker of King’s Lynne aforesaid executor of this my last will and testament dated the three and twenty of October one thousand six hundred and twelve.

In witness here of I put to my mark the day and year aforementioned. The aforesaid Robert Chambers has sett to his mark in the presence of Ffrancis Drurye, Roger Thompson, John Holmes, marks.
