I George Chambers of Great Swaffham in the County of Cambridge, yeoman, being sick yet of perfect memory (thanks be given to Almighty God) warrant and ordain this my last will and testament in manner and form following. First, I bequeath my soul into the hands of Almighty God my creator hoping it shall be saved and my body to the ground at the direction of my executrix. Am Primis I give unto Alice my wife my forty acres of land during her natural life and after her death to Sarah my daughter and to her heirs forever. ITEM I give unto Sarah my daughter thirty-four(?) pounds of lawful English money to be paid when she shall attain to the age of one and twenty years. All the rest of my goods not given I give unto Alice my wife whom I make my sole executrix of this my last will and testament. WITNESS my had and state this ninth day of October 1658/// George Chambers, his mark/// Sealed, read over and subscribed in the presence of /// Thomas Cooke and William Cooke.

THIS WILL was proved at London before the judge for probate of wills and granting administrations lawfully authorised for the one and twentieth day of December in the year of our lord god according to the computer(?) of the Church of England, one thousand six hundred and fifty and eight. By the oath of Alice Chambers the widow and sole executrix of the said deceased in the said will named To whom administration of all the goods ? and debt of the said deceased was committed she being first sworn by ? ? Judge to administer the funds.
