In the name of God amen the ninth day of
October ffourteenth years of the reigne of our sovereigne Lord Charles by the
grant of God Kinge of England, Scotland, Ffrance and Ireland defender of the
faith - I George Chambers of Swaffham Prior in the countie of Cambridge yeoman
being sicke of body but of perfect mind and memory doo make consitute and
appointe this my last will and testament in manner and forme followinge that is
to say Ffirst I commend my soule into the handes of god that gave it me and from
whom I trust to retreive full and ? remission of all my sinnes through the merit
of Jesus Christ my saviour and my body to the ground to be buryed in the
churchyard of Swaffham Prior St Marie in honest and decent ? buriall and as for
my worldly goodes landes, chattles and cattle whatsoever I give and bequeath
them as following. IMPRIMUS I give and bequeath unto Robert Chambers my sonne
twenty pounds to be payd unto him at one and twenty years of age ITEM I give to
Mary Chambers my beloved wife all that coppie hold tenement wherein I now dwell
with the appurtenaures, and ? acres and an half of arable land lyinge in the
common fields of Swaffham Prior which was given me by William Chambers my father
to have and to hold to her own proper use and ? from the time of my deafe
duringe her natural life and after her deafe to ? to Robert Chambers my sonne
and his heirs forever. ITEM I give unto Mary Chambers my daughter three acres of
arable land coppy hold namely one acres in dale field called Challe(?) acre and
two fourths foufes in middle field one buttinge upon the choken and the other
abutinge upon Stony Hill and one thuve(?) roade in ditch fields abuttinge upon
the ditch all which I lately bought of Christopher Cook to have and to hold
after the deafe of Mary Chambers my wife unto the said Mary Chambers my daughter
and her heirs for ever. ITEM I give and bequeath unto Anne Chambers my daughter
all those other ? acres of arable lands which have appurtenaures which I bought
of Christopher Cook aforesayd, to have and to hold to her the sayd Anne after
the deafe of Mary Chambers my wife and to her heirs of the sayd Anne my daughter
for ever. ITEM I give unto my two daughters Mary and Anne tenn pounds a peice to
be payde unto them at their ? ages of one and twenty years ITEM all other my
goodes cattle and chattles whatsoever in this my last will and testament before
not specified after all debts ? and funerall expenses discharged I give to Mary
Chambers my beloved wifeand all my landes not mentioned to desrond upon Robert
Chambers my sonne and next heirs ITEM I make constitute and appointe Mary
Chambers my beloved wife sole executrix of this my last will and testament and
doo hereby revoke all former wills and testaments. In witness herof to this my
last will and testament I have set mine hand and ? this day and year first about
