What is reportage or photojournalistic wedding photography?

Reportage Wedding Photography or Wedding Photojournalism involves unobtrusively capturing the story of your day as it happens while as much as possible avoiding prompting or controlling from the photographer. The end result is a series of images that you may have been completely unaware of and at the same time recording all of the important little details you have spent so long arranging and will enjoy being reminded of in years to come.

What equipment does Paul use?

Paul uses the most up to date state of the art Canon Digital equipment with a large range of lenses and always carries additional Camera bodies for unforeseen circumstances.

How many photographs does Paul take?

There is no limit to the amount of photographs taken on the day and all images can be presented for the album in either colour or black and white.

How long will Paul be with us for on the day?

Paul would prefer to be with you from the preparations right through until the speeches but this is enterly your choice. Past experience has proved that these are the most important moments for capturing the best reportage images of your day.

Can I have some formal photographs taken?

While Paul tries as much as possible to avoid a long list of formal groups but he is happy to photograph a selection of small groups. Past experience has shown that Six or so small groups of close family members can be carried out in around 15 minutes and do not disrupt your day unnecessarily.

If required Paul will also take the bride & Groom a way to a pre arranged quiet location for a few formal shots . This is done quickly and without fuss and often proves to be a great time to also capture some more special unrehearsed moments.

How do I select the images for my album?

Paul will provide you with a DVD containing all of the images of your day so that you can enjoy making the decisions from the comfort of your armchair. Along with the DVD will be a set of index prints for you to make your selections.

Does Paul cover weddings all over the UK?

Based in the centre of Cardiff Paul is conveniently located to cover weddings all over South Wales and is also happy to discuss arrangements for weddings across the UK.
