My name, as you might have guessed, is Paul Gaughan.
I'm an amateur photographer based in Glasgow, Scotland.
My preferred subject is landscapes - especially if they contain water, mountains or trees, but I will photograph anything which presents itself - wildlife, abstracts etc.
Until a year ago I took slides and scanned them before printing on an inkjet printer. A number of the images on this site were taken with a traditional film camera (Minolta). However, these days nearly all of my images are, with the purchase of a Canon 300D last year, taken digitaly and, as a result, I use Photoshop to process my images.
My interest in photography began when I was in my early twenties, but was confined to snaps of an 18 month round world trip. I became much more involved with photography on my return and, after receiving my first SLR I enrolled on a photography course at a local college. By that time i was well and truly hooked .
I am a member of East Kilbride Camera Club and can also be found on ephotozine.
My galleries contain a varied selection of my photographs.
I hope you like them.
