SAFE (Safety and Facilities for Equestrians) is a non-profit making local bridleways society, affiliated to the British Horse Society (BHS).

It is based in South East Wales and has representatives in Caerphilly, Dinas, Powis, Rhiwbina, Lisvane, Pentyrch, Rudry and Radyr.

SAFE has negotiated several miles of horse routes (eg Fforest Farm Tongwynlais, The Wenallt Rhiwbina, Cefn, Mably, Wernddu Woods, Case Hill Woods, Craig-y-Parc Woods, The Lisvane Horse Route, Forest Ganol and Fforest Fawr near Castle Coch). It continues to campaign for better off road riding facilities. SAFE is non profit making and raises money to help provide better facilities.

Committee members attend strategy meetings to state the case for riders. The more members SAFE has the more weight its requests for better facilities carry.
