In my opinion, this well known statement is very true. Many a written item can hold more power than the spoken word. The way I went about this is as follows:
The words 'The Pen' was made using an edge Mitchell calligraphy nib. Next, using a copperplate nib, I surrounded the calligraphy, encapsulating it. The background decoration included floral shapes, tendrils, acanthus leaves, dotted effects, small circles and fancy edge borders.
I proceeded to do the same with the words below this and inserted the quill to represent the sharpness of the pen - both in terms of its physical sharpened edge and that which it might write.
Ink used: Higgins Eternal black.
Paper: ordinary inkjet paper.
