1. Landgrebe (2003) is  referred to on page 203 but is omitted from the Bibliography. The full reference is:

Landgrebe, D.A., 2003, Signal Theory Methods in Multispectral Remote Sensing. New York: John Wiley and Sons, Ltd.
 

2. The sentence half-way down the left column on page xvii reading "Magaly Koch has also provided a set of four advanced exercises, which can be found in the Examples folder of the CD." should have been omitted, as it repeats the preceding two sentences. My apologies to Dr Koch.
 

3. The sentence starting on the second line of the left column of page 286 states that the lidar data used in the example were "acquired for the Environment Agency by Infoterra Ltd."

This is not the case. The lidar data were acquired by the Environment Agency. The reference to Inforterra Ltd. is a mistake. I apologise to the Environment Agency and to Infoterra Ltd. for any embarrasment that this statement may have caused.
 

4. Example 3.2 on page 72, right-hand column, appears to end at the top of page 73, end of first paragraph. It should continue to the end of the second paragraph on the right hand column of page 73, with the words Close All Windows.The main text then continues with the paragraph beginning When MIPS starts up .....
 

5. The caption for Table 2.2 should read:

Table 2.2. MODIS wavebands and key uses. Bands 13 and 14 operate in high and low gain mode. Bands 21 and 22 have the same wavelength range but band 21 saturates at about 500 K, whereas band 22 saturates at about 335 K. Derived from information obtained from http://www.sat.dundee.ac.uk/modis.html.

6. The caption for Figure 1.5, page 4, should read (Wm^-2sr^-1)

7. Page 6, Table 1.1, should contain an entry for Peta (P) which is 10¹⁵
