You need only three functions from your service provider:
- A connection via a telephone line or broadband, giving you the ability
to see a home page
- A browser to let you search for keywords
- An Email service
To find Titchfield History Society you can either
type http://www.communigate.co.uk/hants/ths/ into the address (URL)
at the top of the home page or insert a keyword to search for in the browser.
Type 'titchfield' - our site should appear second or third down in the list.

If you are fed up of spam and pop-ups, Firefox will give you a cleaner home page and a less cluttered version of the Google search engine.
To get Firefox go to http://www.mozilla.org/products/firefox/ you will not regret it.
One word of caution, Firefox starts with many options turned off.
Access controls such as allowing certain
refresh functions, in particular 'cookies' are disabled.
This is good because they can be used to spy on your details and accessed by
unauthorised users.
However some services such as online shopping, banking and
other personal things need cookies to identify you as a user, so keep Internet Explorer
standing by.
