'The Peter Buck of the Rhondda. Sadly missed’ Andrew Thomas.
Dai was an exceptional person, father, son and musician. Dai moved at his own pace in this busy world of people rushing around and meeting deadlines. He always had an enjoyment of the simple things in life, such as a nice cup of filter coffee, sunshine, being in his garden, charity shops bargains, mending old radios. He loved most off all chatting with friends about all types of music. I'm glad I know him and will always miss him

Dai was my partner for the last 7 1/2 years and daddy to our gorgeous son Tom. He was an amazing person.
He knew so much about music and had such broad tastes. From Frank Zappa to Zero 7 to Gil Scott Heron to Super Furries and on! His best kept secret was that he loved George Michael and any cheesy pop!
But as those closest to him knew, his ultimate band were New Order and artiste Paul Weller. He was an amazing guitarist with his chilled laid back attitude coming out through the strings of the guitar.
He loved playing live and often reminisced about the early Meltdown days.
We all miss him so much but his spirit and love for life stay with us forever.
He really was "super dooper!"
