The York Spiritualist Centre is affiliated to Spiritualist National Union and is a religious organization as recognized in law.

The Centre was founded in 1899 and offers an opportunity to hear the teachings of Spirit, to witness communication of those who have gone before into the Spirit world, and to take part in self development and unfold the Spiritual Psychic gifts.

Services and Events

A Divine Service (D.S.) is held each Sunday starting at 6:30pm and finishing at 8pm. The last Sunday in the month we hold a Clairvoyant Demonstration (C.D.)

On Tuesdays an evening of Healing and Meditation is held at 7:30pm. These dates may be found on the Events 2008 below with initials H&M.

Every Wednesday at 7:30pm an experienced Spiritualist will take the Open Circle. These dates may be found on the Events 2008 below with initials O.C.

After the Service on the last Sunday of every month there is an open platform for trainee Mediums.

Other events are posted on the notice board at the Centre.

In addition, the Secretary organizes Private Sittings with Spiritualist Mediums at quarterly intervals. All sittings are held at the Centre.

The Centre is committed to demonstrating all forms of Spiritualist Mediumship.

Extra demonstrations of Physical Mediumship are arranged ad hoc and such events are announced on the platform. Please ensure that you book places early.
