Welcome to WriterconUK, where we organise Midimeet, the annual meetup of fandom Writers, Artists, Vidders, Betas and Readers.
We are here to provide opportunities for the virtual community to meet in real time. Everyone has a role in fandom – this is your chance to mix with people who write, create, or simply appreciate the work of those who do.

We began with fans interested in Buffy the Vampire Slayer and the works of
Joss Whedon, and this still remains the heart of much of our fannish activity,
but we have grown to include members with interests in other fandoms as well
and creative fans from any fandom are very welcome to join us. So far, we
have members who list Lord of the Rings, Torchwood, Stargate, Supernatural,
XFiles, Doctor Who, Being Human, Star Trek, and Merlin among
their interests, as well as various crossovers (Bagpuss and other Children's
series).
