Welsh Translations

Some time ago a gentleman called Allan Weager contacted me to say he was researching Mary's Welsh songs and was attempting to translate them.

During his enquiries he started writing to the very man, a Mr G Davies, actually one of Mary's school teachers who did the translations for all her superb Welsh recordings.

Mr Davies had this to say...

"Mary used to come to see me with a few lines written on a piece of paper, and say, I am singing in a club tonight at seven and I have'nt got anything new to sing, will you please translate this for me. Usually it was done in a hurry and certainly not meant for recording. However, they seem ok, but I wonder what the English words were like"?
