STATUS
This whole section is private; we have no permission to work on or to visit the site. There are no public rights of way anywhere on the section.
The photographs of the southern part were taken when the field was put up for sale and the Trust made an abortive attempt to purchase the Canal section.

| Immediately north of the road is a basin; seen here from the east.
Going north from the basin, the Canal is in good condition.
| Liftbridge The site of the liftbridge is filled in, though does not appear to be actively used as a crossing. |
Going north from the lift bridge, the Canal is still in good condition and holds water.
| Approaching the north end of the first field, where the land changes ownership, the Canal peters out.
And peering over the fence into the next field, the Canal is infilled and planted with trees; there appears to be a pond to the east of the Canal line..

No information available on the remainder of this section. The whole section is strictly private.
Foxham Arch Bridge has been lowered and infilled, and is culverted in two pipes, about 2' diameter.
The towpath is not a right of way on this section. In fact, the whole section is very private
There are no plans at present. Should this section become available, it should not present any great problems. However there is probably not enough water to feed the section until the Canal is connected to Tockenham Reservoir or Calne.
None are evident from the map. However if this section could be cleared, water could be supplied from the Foxham section via the culvert under the road.
