The Red Lion

45.7 cm X 35.6 cm - Huile sur toile

The Red Lion is currently a village pub. The thatch-roofed building was built in the early 1700s. The pub is located nearby an ancient stone circle, at the centre of the Wiltshire village of Avebury. It is reputed to be one of the most haunted Pubs in the south west, in particular by a spirit named "Florrie", an old landlady killed here by her husband.
