Marta has over 25 years experience in the care and education of young children, including 10 years as a nursery nurse at the Hogares de Paso La Maria, an orphanage run by the Social Services of Bogotá. She ran Burnham Green Village Nursery from 1992 and moved on to Parkway Pre-School in July 2000.

In addition to her role as supervisor of Parkway she also teaches Spanish to the little ones at Applecroft School so many of her Parkway children meet her again when they move up to Big School.
