CD Viewer - Autorun Configuration
|
|
| |
|
|
| |
The CDViewer has fourconfigurable parameters that can
be set in the autorun.inf file. These are all optional. If the values
are not set in the autorun.inf file , the program will use the system
default values. However, you are free to reset the values before writing
the disc if required. The configurable options are detailed below.
|
|
| |
|
|
|
|
delay=3. This delay value is the number of seconds
to wait between displaying each image. The default is three seconds but
any number can be used if you want the slideshow to run faster or slower.
The value for the delay between images is just the value
to be used when the slideshow starts. You can increase or decrease the
delay value whilst the slideshow is running. See the controls pages for
details of how to use the controls.

showfolders=false.
If the value of showfolders is set to true, and there is more than one
folder of images on the CD, a window will appear with a list of all the
image folders that are available for display. The tick boxes will allow
you to select those folders that you want to include in this run of the
slideshow.
If there is only one folder of images, or if the value
of showfolders is set to false, this window will not appear and all folders
of images will be displayed in turn.
You can add folders to the disk that you never want included
in the slideshow by starting the folder name with and underscore. For
example folder _IgnoreMe would never appear in the showfolders window,
even if it contained images.

showtext=true. There are four possible settings
for this parameter to control how you display the name of the image file
and/or a description of the image near the bottom of each picture. This
enables you to annotate the images for your viewers. All the possible
parameter values for displaying text in the slideshow are shown below.
(They must all be in lowercase).
- true - Displays the file name and the description
- false - Displays no text
- name - Displays just the file name
- desc - Displays just the file description
If the value of showtext is set to true or name and there
is not an ImageList.txt file in the appropriate directory, or if the text
file exists but does not contain the correct information, then just the
filename of the image will be displayed.
If the value of showtext is set to desc and there is
not an ImageList.txt file in the appropriate directory, or if the text
file exists but does not contain the correct information, then no information
will be displayed.

maximize=false. If the image size is less than
your screen size, the image will normally be expanded to fill the screen
as much as possible (whilst maintaining the correct aspect ratio of height
to width). This can be prevented, if required to, show the images at their
actual size. The default setting is to maximize the image.
If the image is actually larger than the screen display,
it will always be reduced in size to display the whole image.

The layout of the ImageList.txt file(s)
is described on the next page.
