  Don & Ivy lived at 15 Stansted Road Bishops Stortford, they bought the house new and lived in it all there married lives.

   Ivy worked in Twyford Road Bishop Stortford; at the 'snap' factory making amongst other things that go 'Pop' the 'snaps' that go into Christmas crackers!

  Don Law, Ivy's husband worked at Eastern Roadways Bishops Stortford as part of a 'Road gang' later at Eastern Tractors no connection with 'roadways' He was only licensed to drive 'Tractors' (the farm kind) and indeed owned a Massy Ferguson 35, which he would use much as you and I would a car, 'U' know popping into town for shopping etc., all this in the 50's 60's 70's, etc. He later worked at Stansted Airport for the Civil Aviation Flying Unit or 'CAFU' as an aircraft cleaner.

 
 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

  Ivy 'Primrose' Hudgell being quite the opposite in character to Lillian her sister, was a non stop mine of information regards 'Family'. Here caught on a quieter moment............
