100 things about me

1. You know that dream where you show up to school wearing no clothes? I've never had that.
2. When I was young my favorite cartoon was Daffy Duck.
3. When I was very young I was afraid of horses.
4. When I was age 14 I was timed running 100m in 11.5 seconds. At 18 I was much faster but I was never timed.
5. When I was a boy I threw a friend across the room and broke his collar bone. It was a game, honest.
6. When I walk through woodlands I relax so much that my walking speeds drops to about a quarter of normal.
7. When driving alone in my car I like to sing loudly.
8. There was a time when I wanted to learn to play the electric guitar.
9. The most beer I have ever drunk is at one time 8 pints.
10. Taking dares used to get into a lot of trouble as a kid.
11. Sometimes my own thoughts make me laugh out loud.
12. People's first impression of me is usually wrong.
13. Online I tend not to use a nickname.
14. My mind often focuses so entirely on one subject that I lose track of time and don't hear people calling my name until the 3rd or 4th time.
15. My handwriting changes dramatically based on how fast I'm writing.
16. My favourite smell is cloves.
17. My body is slow to warm up and slow to cool down.
18. I've read computer manuals for fun before going to sleep.
19. It was ten years after University before I stopped waking in the middle of the night with exam panic.
20. I prefer red wine to white.
21. In my mid-teens a friend's sister had a massive crush on me.
22. I'm not a pack-rat.
23. I'm either too trusting or too suspicious. I rarely get the balance right.
24. If I had my choice of career, I'd be a record producer.
25. If I eat cucumber, I will have hiccups for hours.
26. If I consider someone a friend, I will automatically jump to their defence in any circumstances.
27. I wrote the start of a sci-fi novel whilst in Luxembourg. One day I'll finish it.
28. I would like to go into space but I probably never will.

32. I used to test blood and other body fluids as my job.

34. I used to be interested in role-playing games but I never took part in one.
35. I tend to check my email everytime I walk past my computer.
36. I taught myself to ride a bicycle at the age of 5.
37. I still have most of the toy cars I owned as a boy. My kids play with them.
38. I sometimes stay up all night when my mind is too active.
39. I smoked cigarettes from the age of 18 to 19.
40. I recover from lack of sleep very quickly.
41. I quote movies and song lyrics for no reason whatsoever.
42. I prefer mint gum to cinnamon gum.
43. I prefer having a small number of good friends to a large number of casual friends.
44. I prefer dark chocolate to milk chocolate.
45. I prefer boots to shoes.
46. I once went 17 years between visits to the dentist.
47. I once owned a bright yellow VW Beetle - the only car to make me smile everytime I climbed inside.
48. I once had the guitar riff from the song ""Chaisey Lain"" by the Bloodhand Gang stuck in my head for 2 weeks.
49. I often get very fidgety and twitchy when under stress.
50. I never talk to myself apart from swearing loudly if I make a mistake.
51. I may be gluten-intolerant, but I've never been tested.
52. I love wearing brightly coloured clothes and rarely worry about what people are thinking of how I look.
53. I love to read.
54. I love to cook meals from scratch.
55. I love the smell of fresh coffee, the stonger the better.
56. I love pineapple, but only idiots put it on pizza.
57. I like music from many genres. This has often confused people.
58. I have used 7 versions of dos, 7 versions of Windows and one version of Linux.
59. I have two younger sisters.
60. I have played FreeCell 6 times. I lost the first game as I misunderstood the rules. I won the next 5 games and then quit because there was no challenge.
61. I have no problem accepting compliments.
62. I have never worn ear plugs or a blindfold.
63. I have never swallowed anything by accident or had anything stuck up my nose.
64. I have never shoplifted.
65. I have never found The Three Stooges even remotely amusing but love the Marx Brothers.
66. I have never fainted or been knocked out.
67. I have never carried a weapon.
68. I have lived in 10 different houses.
69. I have had electric shocks from domestic mains and from spark plugs. The spark plugs hurt more.
70. I have four sons who all look like me in different ways.
71. I have eaten frogs legs, shark, kangaroo, marlin and ostrich. They all taste like chicken.
72. I have driven a car in seven countries.
73. I have been taking stuff apart since I was very young. I can remember the joy of seeing a telephone in bits.
74. I have been never been skiing and have no desire to do so.

76. I have a very literal mind. If someone expects me to read between the lines they will be disappointed.

81. I feel uncomfortable in the company of deeply religious people although I think Buddists are cool.
82. I enjoy sneezing but hate coughing.
83. I don't have a favourite number. My favorite color is blue.
84. I don't do well at boring, repetitive tasks because my minds wanders so much.
85. I can walk a along the top of a fence.
86. I can still remember the phone number and address for the house I grew up in.
87. I can read upside down as easily as the right way up.
88. I can identify almost every song played on my favorite radio stations within the first couple of seconds.
89. I can build a working computer from a box of bits.
90. I am slow to anger and slow to calm down.
91. I am reasonably good at chess but hate the game and never play.
92. I am on first name terms with my dentist.
93. I am loved by cats. I have no idea why. Dogs distrust me. The feeling is mutual.
94. Certain sounds (such as ripping nylon cloth) make me shudder, but don't seem to bother anybody else.
95. Before having children I had no idea of the huge amount of love I was capable of giving.
96. At school I was called a headbanger. I took it as a complement.
97. At one time I knew the names of every bone in the human body, and I was close to knowing the names of all the muscles.
98. As of writing this, I'm 5'6", somewhere around 140lbs, have dark brown hair going grey at the sides, blue eyes, and usually wear a T-shirt and black jeans.
99. As a child I didn't like tomatoes or onions but I do now.
100. Although I prefered to ride motorcycles, I learned to drive a car when I was 19.
