One to One support for artists and creative businesses
Making a living from creative activity can be tough at times.  The quality of your work may be excellent, the feedback fabulous, and the highs of exhibiting or selling a piece of work can be tremendous.  However, working in isolation, uncertain cashflow and the resulting ebb and flow of self confidence can be challenging.

What if..
. you could call on the skills, knowledge and experience of someone who understands visual and creative language, and can help you sort out the business side of things at a time and place of your choosing - in bite size chunks - a combination of face to face, telephone and email support - that doesn't cost the earth - and might help you unlock the full earning potential of your creative output?

The art of work - business coaching for creative people
Pete Mosley has been providing advice for artists and arts organisations since 1984.

He currently divides his time between one to one support for individual creatives and small creative companies, and larger regional projects.

For example: 9 years working on the Connect postgraduate programme for visual artists and makers - currently based at the Collection in Lincoln.

3 years working on the Collide BME artists development programme for Birmingham City Council.

More recently part of the team delivering the Lincolnshire Creative Solutions programme to Creative Industry clients across rural Lincolnshire
.
I've put together a really flexible deal for creative clients - support is paid for a day at a time - and a day's input can be spread out to suit you - a meeting or two, access to advice on the phone or by email, or via web-conferencing if you have a webcam. A lot can be achieved in seven hours of carefully structured support.

Clients are using this in a variety of imaginative ways - to set goals for their own creative development, to get one to one support with funding bids, to think about new ways of marketing work, or to think through business matters with the assistance of someone who understands the creative process.

What do people think?

'I very much admire the way that you are able to keep a core understanding of creative process, and its worth, at the heart of what you deliver. Thanks very much for all your comments and advice. I certainly left with lots to think about and follow up on.'
