Below is a Collection of images and photographs gathered from many sources that show an event sadly never to be repeated.

Some Photographs from Buddy's U.K. tour, one shows Buddy being "taught" how to play cricket by  famous '50,s cricketer Denis Compton who had the doubtful honour of being named "The Brylcreem Boy" because he featured in adverts for a hair oil.

The late Gary Miller, one of Britain's better balladeers in the 50's was also on the U.K. tour, however his dated big band sound made Buddy's appearance all the more exciting for the teenagers in the audience.

In true tradition of variety shows ,close harmony duet The Tanner Sisters were on the bill for Buddy's U.K. tour, Stella Tanner seen here on the left recently appeared in a number of episodes of the long running BBC TV series "Eastenders".

Shown below is Ronnie Keene the U.K. tour's bandleader, the late Gary Miller and Buddy probably discussing what they were going to sing in the show that night.. Also note in the background Buddy's manager Norman Petty.

In between appearing in shows all around Britain Buddy and the Crickets took time out to "telerecord" a show for the BBC called  Off The Record hosted by ex-bandleader Jack Payne. You will note that as in Buddy's tour line up there is a varied cast on the show with Ronnie Hilton, a powerful fifties balladeer, Spike Milligan a zany comedian, author and poet. The Mudlarks had a British hit with "Book of Love" and "Lollipop".  George Melly continues to wow audiences with his own brand of vocal R&B and Jazz.

The highlight of the British tour was an appearance on the prestige peak time ATV show "Sunday Night At The London Palladium". Because of another booking however Buddy and the Crickets were first onstage rather than the top of the bill, but millions of teenagers will never forget his great performance. Unfortunately all that remains of the show is a scratchy few seconds audio of Buddy and the Crickets'.
