Trio 9R-59D
I picked up this vintage receiver at a car boot sale in
the Midlands about 15 years ago.Not very great by modern standards but
it’s OK after the valves have warmed up!
Junker D.B.G.M.
straight key
This is a superb, heavy straight telegraph key produced
by a German company.I got mine as a
gift from my wife’s uncle (G4JIZ – Jesse) before he died.
this isn’t
mine (I’ll take a picture of it soon)
Ham Radio Deluxe
I am currently experimenting with some of the data modes.I have installed a soundcard interface
which allows me to do PSK31, SSTV, RTTY, etc.I still have lots to learn hut I have
started.HRD provides a suite of
software to allow PC control of the rig and interfacing for the data modes.
Echolink
I have used EchoLink a little but am not hugely excited
by it.I have set it up to work on
an Asus EePC.
VHF
Trio TR7730
2mFM25W
I bought this small rig at the Scottish Amateur
Convention at Cardonald College in the 1980s. It still works and I use it
on 2m from the home QTH.
Watson W30
2m / 70cmCollinear
This is a nice light vertical base station antenna which
is mounted on the side of the house. It could do with being a bit higher up but for now I can get in to
GB3CS and GB3AY easily with 5W.
