Senior Indoor Team result
I was so confident that we'd
be home by lunch that I left
the roast in the oven!
Seriously I didnt expect our
make shift team to do
anything, but they scored 38
points in the first round
which was just good enough
to get them into the semis
as highest scoring losers,
beating Eaton on 32. All the
more amazing because Nicky
was serving out his match
ban.
The semi looked like we'd be
battling to avoid last place
even with Nicky in the team,
but we had probably the
worst start ever in the
competition, after 5 races
we had scored 1 point thanks
to 4 exclusions, 3 of which
were quite justified!!! In
the next 11 races we scored
a further 25 points but we
had too much to do and
finished last, but only 7
points behind.
We
didnt enter the U-19 team, but Gt
Blakenham didnt turn up so our two
youngsters volunteered to ride,
always destined to be just making up
the numbers with only 50% of a team
of course, and against much older
riders, but they were on the pace
and scored 13 (Carl 7, Lucy 6)
