BAC has been around since the 1940's we
have had a few names (Billingham sports-
man's/ ICI ANGLING) and a few more. But
we have been BAC now for about 10 years.
The Angling club is a none profit making
organisation with all moneys being put back
into our venues.
Venues:
Charlton's pond:
A two lake complex within
Billingham itself ( just off Cowpen Lane, car
park off Hereford terrace).
Day tickets are available at the bank from our Bailiffs.
The Swale:
Our stretch of the Swale is just outside Northallerton near Maunby. It contains good size Chub & Barbel as well as Roach Dace & Trout.
The Tees:
As part of the Lower Tees Amalgamation you can fish the lower Tees from Bowesfield Lane up to Preston Park. Good catch's of Bream and plenty of silvers are always on the cards.
East Rounton:
I fished East Rounton last weekend. I set out to fish charltons but it resembled the north sea. So I drove to East Rounton the wind was a lot less and the pond was nice and calm. I set up my pole and fished at 8 meters, 30 mins later I had my first fish then another and another mainly small roach, from 1 ounce upto 6 & I lost a very good Perch.By the time I packed up I was catching 2 fish a minute.
If you want a quite day out and catch loads of silvers I would recommend it.
The pegs need repair work but most are fishable.
