About Magic
Notepad:
What it is: its a decal plug-in for the game Asheron's Call
What it does: it allows you to log notes in catagories. The idea is to
eliminate all them scraps of paper you keep, and lose, on your desk
so .. if you ever been
asked where somewhere is?, if a friend or vassal ever asked you for an item you
may have muled / stored?, if you ever need a quick reference to a thief list
during trades?, if you need to make a note of a quest's date & time? Then
you need :

Installing
Magic Notepad:
- Download latest version.Magic
Notepad Version 1.0
- Unzip the files to any suitable directory
Please Note: if you are updating Magic Notepad do NOT over write your current .mnp files!! - Follow the step-by-step installation
instructions by viewing "INSTALL.TXT"
How to use

SELECTING A NOTE:
Look at figure 1, to select a note you need to click on it. Notes are listed in
the "Note Selection Area". The selected note is indicated with an
arrow (see "Selected Note Indicator") once a note is selected the
contents of the note will be entered in to the "Note Entry" box!
ADDING A NOTE:
The first thing to do is to decide the catagory for the note to belong to. Use
the "Catagory Selection" to specify a catagory, then to add a note
you type it out in the "Note Entry" box, and click the ADD button.
Your newly added note will appear in the "Note Selection Area"
CHANGING A NOTE:
After selecting a note, you can change what it says by making the changes to it
in the "Note Entry" box. When happy with the changes just click the
UPDATE button.
REMOVING A NOTE:
Select a note you wish to remove, then click the
DISPLAYING A NOTE:
Select the note you wish to display, then click the DISPLAY button. The note
will be displayed in the chat window. (see figure 2)

MAKING A MULTIPLE LINE NOTE:
Since there is only 1 "Note Entry" box, all your data for an
individual note needs to corrispond as 1 line. By using the underscore: _
within the note, this will insert a linefeed. Once the note has been added and
you wish to display it you will see where the underscores have been placed
there will be a new line for each one!
THE "PASTE"
BUTTON:
Using this button will cause any copied text to be added to the "Note
Entry" box (Note this will not CLEAR the "Note Entry" box, it
will append text to what exists in the box)
THE "CLEAR"
BUTTON:
Using this button will clear the "Note Entry" box.
Future
Development:
Some idea's I would like to
implement.
- Theif Detector:
A quick compare against the PEOPLE's list when a trade window is opened, if the person is listed as a "THIEF" in the PEOPLE's catagory a warning will be displayed - Stock List:
This command will automatically log a 'selected' item within the ITEM's list, so you can keep an eye on what you have, and which char's the items are on - without even logging off and back on!
