It's the only reason to explain how Herman Yau could go from The Untold Story and The Ebola Syndrome to this rather tame thriller. Fortunately, he's become a better director, cuz this is better than his earlier Cat. III fare. Andy Hui plays a cop that goes into a coma after a shootout with some thieves. When he awakens two years later, he is suddenly able to see ghosts. Turns out, this comes in handy, because a nurse rapist/murderer has been on the loose while he was asleep, and ghosts of the victims like to report themselves missing (?!?). Only in Hong Kong... For a movie that's got some really wacky crap going on, this isn't that bad. There are some nice touches here: the ghosts that help with the investigation, and the clever way that Hui communicates with them (so as not to seem like he's talking to himself); the cheap scares of having gross ghosts just pop out of nowhere; the hospital ghost taunting the oblivious killer. But there's also some silliness: the out-of-left-field identity of the killer (although there is a clever red herring scene before they catch him); the badly translated transition title cards that make it seem as though the movie is going backwards; the ridiculous, yet somehow, appropriate ending. And, to show that the influence of Ring has reached the Chinese mainland, there is a ghost that, of course, looks just like Sadako. All and all, a surprisingly enjoyable movie; better than some of the supposedly "better" Japanese horror movies that everyone (me included) loves so much. IMDB usercomment.	IMDB

When she finally regains consciousness, she starts screaming in agony and her tongue is viciously sliced off with a straight razor! Her arm is then chopped off, and if this isn’t enough, her stomach is sliced open and the guy starts fucking her intestines!! All in up close and gory detail! Want more? Then order this sicko film!! I don't know what they are saying since there are no subtitles, but later on it's more of a matter of watching than reading. Once they have their "stars" they go shopping for food, eat dinner than start filming. The movie actually starts out as a real xxx porno. Yes this is a real porno, although it's Japanses so there is optical censoring. Doesnt really matter, you can see right through it. So they shoot a portion of the porno, then stop for a break and the filmmakers drug the girl and then they talk her into filming a bondage scene. Once things begin to get rough the girls tries to leave, but one of the filmmakers bashes her over the head with a baseball bat. The male lead watches in confusement as they tie her to the bed and strip her down. Then the filmakers force the man to have sex with her while she is unconcious. As the man has sex with her(for real) one of the filmmakers grab a butcher clever and slams it down onto the girls ankle and begins hacking it off. They continue to hack off limbs while the man still has sex with the victim, until the filmmakers push him aside. One of the psychos sits on the girls chest and pulls her tongue out of her mouth and begins to slice it apart with a potato peeler! The tongue looks pretty real and slices apart convincingly. When the peeler doesn't cut deep enough, he leans forward and begins pulling the girls tongue apart with his teeth until a piece finally comes free! This scene has to be seen to be believed. Later the guy slices the girls stomach open and forces the male "star" to have sex with her open chest cavity. Although there is optical censoring again, you can see the guy plunge himself right into the girls intestines! The filmmakers then get tired of watching this and brain the guy over the head. Once the guy is laying on the floor they cut his dick off and throw it across the room. This was a sick movie. Like the subject title says, this goes way beyong the Guinea Pig films. The combination of xxx sex with harcore gore at the same time is a bit unsetteling. It's one thing to see a scene with someone pretending to have sex with a gutted body, but it's quite another to see a guy with an erection getting it on with a pile of real animal intestines. I ordered this from Witching Hour Video and was an interesting movie experience. You really can't go much further than this	IMDB

In a desperate attempt to salvage their work, the two researchers take over the lab and hold an innocent secretary hostage while they transform their fellow researcher (Iinuma) into an ether addict and use him as the final human guinea pig for their experiments.
