My experience have been primarily with the Guyana Shield Emeralds, with specimens originating from Surinam and Guyana. I would like to get involved with the so called Amazon Emerald tree boa, but they are still quite rare in England and expensive. Having said that they are becomes more accessible now with a few successful breeders in Europe.
Most of what I have written is a personal account of my experiences with the species over the last 10 years. These methods are by no means fixed and there may be others that disagree and have had success with alternative methods of captive husbandry.
I feel this account of captive husbandry has worked successfully for me and I would like to share it with others of similar interest in this fascinating and beautiful snake, The Emerald Tree Boa.
