"We are what we eat" - You have probably heard this statement with relation to diet and nutrition.

What I would like to show and share with you on this day is that this statement is INCORRECT and should read: We are what we ABSORB.

We can have a very balanced and nutritious diet but if our digestive system is not operating at its most efficient then absorption of nutrients during its journey through the gastrointestinal tract (GI) will not take place.

In this workshop we will explore how we can detox to tune up the GI tract by choosing the right foods; this in turn will allow better absorption of all the other nutrients in our diet.

We are a society that is suffering from malnutrition, even though we have an over-abundance of food in many cases. This in turn is causing the body to become unbalanced causing many of the diseases that we see today.

We will look at what foods we should be taking into our bodies to fit our individual lifestyle and body metabolism.

Diet implies a regime to lose weight whereas it should mean a way of eating for life therefore on this workshop…
