The park is situated in six acres of peaceful countryside near to many historic attraction on the Notts/Derbys border.

Near by are Hardwick Hall, Rufford, Clumber and Thoresby Parks. Also close by is Robin Hood's Sherwood Forest and Lord Byron's home at Newstead Abbey. Just a short walk away is the highest point in Nottinghamshire in Silverhill Country Park with splendid vistas of countryside.

Situated a few miles from Junctions 28 and 29 of the M1 motorway the site has 100 licensed pitches, electric hook-up and hard standing with drinking water and refuse points within easy reach.

The Camping and Caravanning Club Site
Clumber Park

The Camping and Caravanning Club site is located in the idyllic location of the Walled Garden at Clumber Park. The park, is a National Trust property consisting of 4,000 acres of woodland and heath where you can feel really close to the Robin Hood legend.

Close by at Worksop is Mr Straw's House, owned by the National Trust, it is a 1920's home captured in time. Also there are many other attractions like Sherwood Forest Visitor Centre (the home of Robin Hood). Sport facilities at South Forest Leisure Centre at Edwinstowe and further afield the DH Lawrence Museum at Eastwood.

Worth noting

In July and August there's a limit of 15 caravans, 30 at other times. The site has a narrow approach road and entrance - caution is needed. Admission fees to the park itself will be refunded by the Holiday Site Manager.
