As
is the custom each year the Sheriff of Nottingham's coffers are ransacked
and the rich have been relieved of their purses to provide a programme
of fun-packed festive entertainment for the people of Nottinghamshire
and visitors from further afield.
We offer plays and puppets, jugglers, jesters and jousters plus,
of course, archers. Test your skill with the longbow, cheer on brave
knights, or join in one of the shows in the Open Air Theatre.
You will meet many characters during your visit – musicians, minstrels,
jokers and jousters. However, be wary of the wiles of quack physicians,
rascally rat-catchers and plague victims – many of whom flock to the
forest specially for these revels!
Robin Hood and the Outlaws
of Sherwood bid you all welcome and hope you enjoy this week of Festive
Fun for all the family.
