Then collect it after final firing or, for a small charge, have it posted to your home. No need to book, just drop in! Venue: Craft Centre Seminar Room. Venue: Rufford Ceramics Centre Sunday, 7th April, 2pm 4pmA Fish called Wanda What can you make with some willow, natural materials and tissue paper? Join the rangers today and find out! We will demonstrate the basics then you will be able to apply your own creative ability to construct your own sculpture to take away with you. Charge: £2.00 per sculpture made. Venue: Abbey Marquee Sunday, 14th April, 5.45am 8.15amDawn Chorus No, its not a misprint, unfortunately dawn is this early! Join a member of our ranger team as we have a stroll around the park and try to identify birdsong and perhaps spot one or two of our early visitors. On completion of the walk, the Coach House café will be open for a well deserved breakfast. Charge: £2.00 per person (breakfast extra) Venue: Meet outside the Craft Centre. Tuesday 16th April Monday, 27th May, from 10.30am each dayConstruction An exhibition of structurally-created craft work in mixed media, including woven, felted and knitted textiles; baskets; jewellery and furniture. The Jewellery Exhibition will feature work in precious metals by Amanda Doughty, while The Ceramics Centre will showcase and exhibition of garden pots. Venue: The Gallery & Ceramics Centre, Rufford Craft Centre Friday, 19th April, 8pm 9.30pmBat Walk A complete contrast to last Sundays event! As dusk falls over the country park, we will be looking out for our nocturnal friends the bats. A short explanatory talk will be followed by a walk around the park during which we will attempt to spot and identify some of the species which currently reside here. Please note, this activity is not suitable for those under 8 years of age. Charge: £2.00 per person. Venue: Meet outside the Craft Centre. Saturday & Sunday, 27th & 28th April 10.30am 4.30pm each dayRufford Kites Weekend With just a gentle breeze, our visiting expert kite flyers can demonstrate the art of kite flying. You can either bring your own kite with you, make one at our kite workshop, or indeed buy a ready made one. Whichever you choose, our experts will be on hand to assist and offer advice.
