The trails at Brierley Forest Park provide safe and interesting routes around the park for walkers, cyclists, horse riders and disabled people.
Surfaced routes, entrance points and key features of interest are shown on the main plan.
Walkers...
Walkers have unrestricted access throughout the park but should avoid horse routes for safety reasons.

Disabled Routes

Disabled Friendly Routes...

Routes for disabled people are shown on the plan on the left. These have been designed to allow access for most people, including wheelchairs.

Cycle Routes

Cycle Routes...

The plan shows routes that are suitable for cyclists.
Cyclists can also use the open grassland on Rooley Tops.
Please note: Cyclists are asked to give way to pedestrians and horse riders.

Horse Routes

Horse Routes...

The plan shows routes that are suitable for horse riders. Horse riders can also use the open grassland on Rooley Tops.
Riders wishing to use the park will need a permit and key for the special access gates. These are obtainable from the Ranger Service on 0700 532 1836.

Nature Conservation...

The park includes many existing and developing nature conservation areas. Visitors to the park should avoid disturbing wildlife and in particular birds nesting in long grass between March and August.

Brierley Forest Park is managed by Ashfield District Council assisted by the Friends of Brierley Forest Park.
