SCHOOLS PAGE:
A short history of World War Two
Our
group occasionally supplies members dressed in 1940's
period uniforms to schools in the North West. Children
are very interested in this period of history, and one
of our reasons for being re-enactors is that we wish to
bring history alive and make it more interesting so that
future generations do not forget the sacrifices made by
the millions of men and women who suffered during that
period.
This part
of our website acts a brief introduction to World War
Two. We have illustrated it with a mixture of
original photographs and some new ones posed by
re-enactors.
