MEET SOME MEMBERS

David & Pat Park

Lives in: West Yorkshire
Re-enacting WWII since:
2003
Re-enacts as: Civilians
Professions: Retired Estimator/Contracts Engineer (David); Customer Service Supervisor (Pat)

David says: "For 5 years now my wife Pat and I have attended the Pickering railway event every October.  After the first time in 2002 we liked it so much that we returned the following year dressed in 40's clothes.

We very quickly became addicted to this hobby, and in the last few years have attended many other re-enactment events such as Haworth, Embsay, East Lancs Railway and Crich Tramway Museum.

We like these types of events attached to transport where we are can walk and travel around, chatting with other re-enactors and the general public.  As we were both children in the 1940s, we can share our childhood memories with those who are younger than us.

The Northern Forties Group is just the kind of group we have been looking for - where we can dress up as we like; there is no pressure to attend every event; and we can have fun with like-minded people."
