We are a UK-based 1940s re-enactment group with a mixture of civilians and military personnel. Our members come from as far afield as Harrogate in Yorkshire, across to Lincolnshire and Norwich in the east, Anglesey in North Wales and Northamptonshire in the South Midlands.

We consist of a number of like-minded individuals who have fun dressing up in wartime period clothing at a variety of 1940s themed events mostly in the North of England and Midlands areas.

Whether you are interested in re-enacting as a hobby, or you have seen us at events and want to know more about us and our collections, please browse through our site.

Some of our members will be venturing south to Bletchley Park, Milton Keynes over the weekend of 26/27 May.  Perhaps we can hope for some warmer weather than of recent weeks. 

As we have come to the end of the 2011 season, it's time once again to assemble the best of this year's photos into our Year Book.  However, this year, everyone has been so busy snapping with the cameras that we have had to compile two volumes for 2011. 

Have a look through the new 2011 Year Books.  We have published them as e-books, so you can turn the pages like a real book, and even look closer with the magnification feature.

We would like to thank everyone who came and supported our event on 19th and 20th May.  The enthusiasm of all the re-enactors and vehicle owners who came was evident, and we hope you liked the more space we had this year so much that you will want to come again in 2013.  The dates will be 18th and 19th May, so put it in your new diaries now, and keep an eye on this page for more announcements later this year.  Best wishes from everyone at Northern Forties.
