Strange one this! The Parlour is a Jekell and Hyde of a pub which can both be very good, and very bad. Its downstairs bar, is thriving, easy going and a really nice place to socialise. Upstairs though is a nightmare! Packed to the roof with screaming 18 year olds, (most of whom appear not to be students), its about as close to torture as you can get in a pub.

Yet for some reason, no matter how much you tell yourself 'upstairs is crap', you always end up heading up anyway when your beer googles arrive. And, just as predicatbly, 20 mins later, after fighting to make your way across 25 feet of floor, you get back downstairs pissed of at yourself for not listening to your own advice. If its any consolation though, stay downstairs and you should have a good night.
