Established by Captain Caveman and Fred Flintstone in 20,000 BC, the Limelight is the oldest live music venue in Belfast and easily the best known. Students throughout the ages have talked of many a night they had in the Limelight from days gone by and its easy to see why. Theres no fancy dress code and spilling beer on your shirt only seems to add character.

This is the uncaring, non pretentious side of Belfast nitelife, and we like it. Its nights range from live gigs by some of the top international and local acts about, to cool retro discos, which play anything and everything. Tuesday night is the main student night here, and we can usually be found most weeks here, taking advantage of the £1 drinks. It attracts a great mix of people and pays music to suit everyone. A definite must-go place if you are gonna be in Belfast for a while.
