Since bursting on to the music scene in late '99, Ketterings female fronted
metal machine, Defenestration, have packed enough action into their embryonic
careers to satisfy many more mature acts.
Constant touring has seen them cross the U.k. and Europe with such bands as
Raging Speedhorn, Lost Prophets, Will Haven, Megadeth and Therapy? to name but
a few. Not to mention appearences at The Carling, Reading and Leeds Festivals
and 2001's Wembley Arena leg of the Tattoo the Planet Tour supporting Slayer
and Cradle Of Filth.
Debut album 'One Inch God' was met with open arms, being described as "The most
confident and self assured British debut since Iron Maiden, some 20 years
before" and earning the band a nomination for 'Best New British Band' at the
2001 Kerrang awards. This was followed two years later by 2003's raw and
passionate 'Ray Zero' which again attracted rave reviews.
Now with a new mini album ....For Us This Ends When We Drown. Defen are back
with their most focused, mature and determined offering to date.
