Views of the Capital
Port Louis has changed quite a lot since the last time I was
there. The Caudan shopping centre is very impressive, with lots of
things to buy and see.
The biggest problem of the city is traffic. Port Louis have
become a major bottleneck between the north and south of the island.
Unfortunately, this is not helped as busy times by the police, who arrive
to direct the traffic. That is when the traffic really grinds to a
halt and their ability to keep the vehicles moving leaves a lot to be
desired. The Mauritian driving culture doesn't help either.
Observations on Mauritian driving coming soon.
