Having worked in retail management for several years I realised that there was more to life than sales targets and profit margins!

Following a sabbatical year I decided to retrain as a professional and started to research the various options available to me.

Having always had an interest in the human body and the effects of health and disease I was particularly interested in the Science and Art of Osteopathy. I had had an experience of excruciating back pain myself, and was amazed at the treatment I received from an osteopath in Wiltshire. They were both thorough and caring and helped me recover in no time at all. As a child I was shocked once arriving home to find my father white faced and writhing in agony with spasms in his back. Had I known then what I do now, I would have been able to help relieve his discomfort very quickly.

Investigation lead me to The European School of Osteopathy. Not only one of the most respected Osteopathic schools in Europe, but also based here in Kent.

The full time training is a rigorous four years, looking at the history and application of osteopathy together with extensive anatomical and medical training, combined with a two year internship in the school's Maidstone clinic.

With job offers from both Hastings and Whitstable, and a short stint at Bridge I decided that the whole reason for re-training was to work for myself, be part of the community in which I live and, serve that community to the best of my ability. To this end I opened the High Street Clinic here in Hythe.

Please drop in for an informal chat, and advice as to whether Osteopathy could work for you. With a busy family life I know the importance of being able to get some spur of the moment assistance without the hassle.

My job satisfaction comes from knowing the many people I have already helped enjoy an active life, and the many more I will also help.
