16/12/01 I'm back! For some reason my ISP wouldn't let
me into my ftp upload server when at university so I've not been able to
update this site! A few little updates- fixed links to BVE locos download
(had a few emails on this one), links page update and a new entry to the
memories page. More soon...

26/8/01 News on another web site today- a site all about
the state of the Great Central through Leicester. This site takes you from
Birstall (now Leicester North) right through Leicester, past the site of
Central Station to Aylestone on the south side. Nigel Tout is the author
of this collection of photos showing all important areas on the route which
are up to date. Head over to the links page for the site address...
20/8/01 Brand new collection of photos
added! Take a look at 'The Construction of the line' for an extensive library
of photos and information relating to the construction of Victoria station
and the line through Nottingham. This collection is located in 'Photo Gallery'
then choose 'Victoria Station'.
23/7/01 A big apology for anyone who's tried to download
my BVE route lately- the link is not working! This is due to the way Angelfire
does not allow linking to files 'off site'. It should all be fixed and
working now! I've been on holiday so it's taken a while to fix.
Also thank you to people who email me
with comments & questions- these are all much appreciated and I will
reply to everyone as & when I can!
5/7/01 A few little things-
the GCR BVE route has been moved to a different server as I've run out
of space on this one! You can still download it from the TrainSim/BVE page.
Also a new update- screenshots of a short route I've done in MS Train Sim.
I'm making some progress with the editor now!
4/7/01 Time for an update! I have updated a number of
sections in the TrainSim section (such as links & current status on
route building). New section added- 'Help Preserve The GCR'. I'm on the
look out for people to help out at Ruddington and help bring back some
more GCR! Do please look at this page!
Also minor links page update.
22/5/01 I now have MS Train Sim beta! It is loads of fun-
especially driving the Flying Scotsman along the Settle to Carlisle line!
As far as development of my GCR route I can't really begin this with the
beta as the editing tools are not complete. I'll soon be posting information
on how they work and what will be required to build a decent route.
7/5/01 Update to BVE route
again! I have corrected the files to work properly this time so if you
downloaded yesterdays files then please download the new ones!
Important news!! I have been invited,
by Microsoft, to receive a copy of the MSTrainSim press beta! I shall have
the game in the next couple of weeks- then the GCR route construction can
begin!
6/5/01 Update to BVE route!
It is now BVE2 compatible and includes fog to make the route much more
atmospheric and a steam loco! See TrainSim then BVE section for download!
30/4/01 Many hours have been
spent adding more information on the former GCR in the form of timetables
detailing the section between Sheffield & London.
Find this information in the Station History
section. If you have any old GCR timetables please get in contact!

15/4/01 Microsoft Train Simulator will be with us soon-
then Victoria can be brought back to life! A new top 50 of MS Train Sim

26/3/01 Added a new page
to the site- Memories of Victoria Station. A page for people to put up
any memories they have of the station- see Station Info & History section.
9/3/01 Major update to train
simulator section. Have now given more coverage to BVE plus introduced
a Black 5 simulator section. Have added more pictures of GCR to MS Train
Sim section. Work is now progressing on full 3d buildings and scenery for
Black 5 steam loco simulator and MS Train Sim. See Train Sim page for a
screenshot plus all the other updates!
Changed guestbook, counter and sitetracking
tools as mycomputer.com have started charging for their services!

Completed revamp to LNER (GC) website - go look now! (then come back of
course! :-)) Minor update to About Me and Links pages.
19/2/01 Some work done to
BVE route. Going to be a little delay as I've just taken over the LNER
(GC) Heritage Trust's website and I'm revamping it. See Train Sim page

12/2/01 Added my BVE page

11/2/01 Went to Rothley station
to obtain more photographs for texture mapping on to my buildings. BVE
route at quite an advanced stage- should be released in a week or so.
9/2/01 Began Developing a
BVE route running from Rothley to Quorn & Woodhouse (I am no longer
doing the route from Victoria as yet). Begun 3D modelling buildings for
MS Train Sim
8/2/01 - Updated About Me
page. Added 3 pictures to 1951-1960 section. 1961-1970 started- added quite
a few photos- more to add yet!
7/2/01 - Major update to
Train Simulator page. Now has guide for creating routes, details on my
progress on my GCR route as well as a whole library of photos on the GCR
from Nottingham to Leicester. Updated links page with many new links.
