September 1957In 1957 the Great Central
was still operating well under British Rail Eastern Region- sporting express
trains like 'The Master Cutler' and 'The South Yorkshireman'. This continued
until around 1960 when the London Midland Region took over.
I've got this data from
two timetables- first one showing departures from Leicester Central (and
so not giving times for other stations) and the second one which has only
part of the day shown (1715 to 0115 at Leicester) but has times for all
stations.
