Fee Structure
I charge all work by the day or half day. The rates for my work vary
from £200 per day for private individuals to £1000 per day for Plc's. Small companies,
charities and government departments will be at intermediate rates, by
agreement. Where the work requires preparation, the same rates apply.
VAT at 17.5% is also chargeable but most clients can reclaim this.
Expenses
Materials, travelling, subsistence, and hotel expenses are chargeable. I
charge 45p per mile for travel by car. I do not normally charge for telephone
calls and letters.
Cancellations
A booking of my time on a specific date is a contract in which you agree
to buy my time on that day. If you find you cannot use the booked time and date
for the original work, I will use the time to help you or your organisation
another way. This could include writing, thinking, research or observing your
organisation in action and face-to-face developmental activities.
If it is impossible to find replacement work, I will charge a
cancellation fee unless you give more than fourteen days notice. This will be
50% if you give one to fourteen day's notice and 100% if you give less than one
working day's notice. I treat a postponement as a cancellation that is followed
by a rebooking.
However, I will give you a 50% discount on the next session if I have to
cancel or postpone it with fourteen to one day's notice. I will give the next
one free if I cancel or postpone it with less than a day's notice. Your time is
at least as valuable as mine.
Payment
I expect your payment within thirty days of the dispatch of my invoice.
I do not send statements.
