Short exercises you can use for courses, coaching and workshops
This is a simple way to end a workshop. Everyone leaves feeling positive about themselves and each other and has something to treasure.
Appropriate and inappropriate help
This exercise will help you think about how to help other people. This is not always easy as not all "Help" is helpful. You can use it in a small group or one to one.
This "silly" game is a great energiser but also can help people explore profound issues like closeness, humour, status and whether dignity is always a good thing.
Use this to help someone think about his/her life and the peak experiences that give it meaning. The exercise can be very useful to build a group or team when people want to build trust and mutual understanding.
Use this to build self confidence and self esteem. It is useful in team building situations to help everyone appreciate the strengths their colleagues and themselves bring to the group.
Using
these materials
I
am entirely happy for you to use or draw on any these materials in any way you
think will be helpful. I am keen to have my work, and the work of the people I
have learned from, used.
If you can, do you think you could say where you found them? One way might be to give a link back to the site or to my email address. This will help these positive ideas to spread, and help my business, too.
Thank you
