Turnstone

Turnstone

A colourful little shore bird that appears in great numbers usually mixed in amongst flocks of Oystercatchers. Flocks of up to fifty turn up on the grassy promenade behind the sea wall between Seaton Carew and Hartlepool, which is often a good spot to view sea birds.
