A bird of mixed wooded areas, roughly similar to a Greenfinch but a slightly smaller more delicate looking bird. They are seldom seen around the Billingham area, at least at the sites I visit, but were quite common at Thornley Woodland Centre on Derwentside where they were common visitors at the feeding station. |
