Monumental Inscriptions in Chapel Allerton Cemetery, Leeds.
I have given the graves identification codes, consisting of a letter and a number.
Graves with codes beginning with an "A" are in the topmost part of the Cemetery. The Harrogate Road entrance is via a War Memorial and some steps. These graves are on the left side of the path on passing through the Cemetery using this entrance.
Graves with codes beginning with a "D" are situated in the (bottom) NE corner of the Cemetery bounded by Town Street and Church Lane. Some of the more recent burials here are in the ground once occupied by the old St. Matthew's Church and the rest are nearby. As you follow the way through the Cemetery from the Town Street entrance down to Church Lane, the graves recorded here are on your left.
The inscriptions recorded here are only a small fraction of the inscriptions in the Cemetery.
